Guest guest
Today I decided to make some soy yogurt for my dd who is not SCD. For this batch I followed the directions in the Yogourment manual and only fermented for 4.5 hours. I also used the Yogourmet starter for this batch instead of the Progurt. This batch was just warm soymilk after 4.5 hours when I just ran up to check it. Does this sound like a defective Yogourmet or a defective chef? Guest guest
I have no clue how to make soy yogurt... or how it is supposed to turn out. Did you chill it thoroughly before checking? Yogurt of any kind will thicken up considerably when chilled. We need to chill the goat or cow yogurt for a full 8 hours before using. Prior to that it will be quite a lot thinner. Guest guest
I did end up with a bad batch of Progurt, but got a free replacement - but if you used something else on the second batch, it's probably the yogurtmaker.
