More than five years ago.) If we go to the computer model that tells us what she should expect to lose http://clos.net/predict-wt-loss.htm We find that a 225 lb patient at 2 months is calculated by the computer model to be expected to lose... Exactly 34 lbs.!!! (Range 30 to 38.) If that patient were to lose like a 400 lb patient (I.e. 55 lbs.) she would be dead in a year. I need to do a better job of preop education. I did that calculation before surgery, I am going back now that it is real and see what to expect! Thanks so much for being there for us. Guest guest
Then there's the other side of the coin. My starting weight was 249 and I'm at three months. Using the predictor at: http://clos.net/predict-wt-loss.htm, the predicted weight loss for someone starting out at 249 at 3 mos. is 45 pounds. The low is 40 pounds with the high of 51, I've lost 33 pounds (216 @ 12 weeks weigh-in Thursday). > Dr_Rutledge@... writes: > > << I went to the DR's last > > week for my 2 month post op check up and I am down 34lbs.
