Guest guest
, Chrissy and , I enjoyed our chat last night. , I'm sorry I wasn't able to get back in there after my break for my 9:30 pm insulin injection. I took my blood glucose reading then and it was 259 and climbing, so I had to inject some fast acting insulin, as well as my base insulin. Then I checked it 15 minutes later and it was 378!!! This is so extremely high for me that I was freaking out. It's usually around 100 or so. I haven't had anything that high since I first got out of the hospital as a new, out-of-control diabetic, and it really threw me for a loop. So I was in a bit of a panic and spending a lot of time trying to figure out what was wrong. I believe I solved the problem, apparently when I injected for dinner earlier I shot a blank with my insulin pen. I've done this once or twice before, but caught my mistake, and re-injected the correct amount. This time I must have overlooked it in my haste to eat dinner quickly so that I could get to the chat room on time. I was late coming home from the store, and then had a client that kept me on the phone until 8:15, so I really had to dash through dinner to get into the chat room by 8:30. Hopefully we'll have a chance to talk some more soon. I'm so glad that your new medication and holistic program is working so well for you, and I hope you'll continue to keep us updated on your progress.
