I do not know what kind of mosquito repellent I should buy. I know

sometime ago you all talked about this, but I can not find it. Here

in Memphis is hot, muggy and mosquitoes everywhere, on top of that

the threat of west nile virus, our neighbor state Arkansas has some

cases. The kids want to play outside at dusk and I do not know what

to use on them, specially a.

And after the big storm there are trees all over the city, it will be

a while before the city picks them up, so another breading ground for

them.

Well, hope everybody is doing well.

We go ahead and use the ones with deet. I grew up in Alaska where the mosquitos

can literally drain you dry. We used to babptize ourselves in that stuff twice

a day. And we're all still alright. I can't seem to find the solid stick kind

like we could use up there. It is the best...but we have been using the wipes

in it's place.

Dawn,

I did buy those wipes yesterday and after I did I read the deet

ingredient so I wrote to ask what you all thought about it. I

remember somebody wrote about not getting the spray kind of

repellent, so I bought the wipes.

Well, thank you Dawn, I know my mom use to spray us with the toxic

stuff, you know to kill the mosquitoes. Boy, how backward was that

be!! She thought that the mosquito bites were worst than the poison,

go figure!

I just don't want Patti to inhale it accidentally. She's 2.5 and not very

reliable about holding her breath.

The Avon mosquito repellent is great but I still use their

Skin-so-Soft--Original formula only.

I am allergic to most insect sprays and the original formula of SSS is the

only thing I have been able to use for the past several years.

I was even more impressed with it when I found out that my brother-in-law was

ordering it by the case for his men whenever they went on training missions

in South American jungles!!!

Just imagine all those " sweet " smelling tough guys!!!

I think they said they used it when they were in Panama Canal area, too.

Pour it in a container of baby wipes or apply with a wash cloth. It also

kills ants!!!!! (Spiders and roaches too!)

Good luck!

AuntB,

My husband is in Iraq and they would not be able to live right now

because of the bugs with out SSS. It really is amazing how well that

stuff works. I swear by it as well. The sand flies over there are

infecting the men with a disease that kills them with in 2 years so it

is nothing to mess with. That is something you would not hear on CNN.

Anyways my kids use this also. Works wonders against these darn

misquitos.
