Guest guest
I know this sounds odd, but we never used baby food; we just whizzed " people food " in the blender (items separate) and gave it to the kid with butter or cream added--sure worked! My cfer tolerates fats much better than do I myself--odd! I hope this is helpful; a food processor or even a Mouli might be good, too! Guest guest
Ashauna, Mostly fruits will have the higher calories. Gerber's baby foods tend to have higher calories than Heinz. But the foods that I have found that are Right at or around 100 calories per jar are: Banana-Apple, ANY of the fruit and cereal mixtures, Banana-Orange, etc... None of the 1st foods have the higher calories, go with the 2nd stage foods. Also you can mix scandishake or Scandical with the baby foods to get the calories up. Hope this helps. Guest guest
n, This is definately something that I am going to have to look at doing. Colgan hates baby food. About the tolerating fats. Colgan takes one plain Ultrase with each meal and 2 if he has baby food as well as formula. Did your kids have problems with increasing enzymes. Colgan does not tolerate this at all. He needs more but every time I go up even a half a capsule diper rash from heck ( other word would be more fitting ) didn't want to offend :) thanks Ashauna

Guest guest
Ashauna, Piper is doing well, now. It has taken a long time to get her weight up, we are still playing catch up. It hasn't been easy, but we're getting there one day at a time. Katy Mom to Austin 4 no CF & Piper 1 w/CF
