Guest guest
Hi Chrissy, Thanks for answering about pain. I'm trying to see if we would all describe our pain differently. Of course, it might well simply BE different because of the type of damage we have. For some reason we don't tend to bother much with Valentine's Day....maybe too near my birthday 3 days later. I was quite bad with pain to-day. We had arranged to meet some old friends for lunch. I dosed myself up just before leaving the house and managed...just about! Later I went on to have my eyes tested, despite the pain, and chose some new specs. I nearly collapsed from shock, never mind panc pain, when told the price so perhaps they will have to be my not- very-romantic Val.Day pressie! He's booked for the Royal Opera House in London on my birthday. That's pretty romantic in my book. I've only been twice before, once with Jim and once with a group from school. I hope this pain has passed by then....I feel ashamed even mentioning it to you Chrissy, given your current probs. I'm going to have a reasonably early night for me....12.30am! I'm glad you're sounding more cheerful. I really admire tremendously how you are dealing with this, Chrissy. I know I'd be much more of a wimp. I hope you were cheered by the messages from Sue and Crystal. You might be a champion athlete and runner in the future! Joke! I'm so happy for Crystal and I've been inspired by Sue, all the more so when I met her in hospital. I'm glad the peg is hurting less and you're even joking about the pole. How long does all this stay in place or don't you know yet? Take care, With love, Fliss
