Guest guest
Hey ! I think I have a pretty good doctor. He was willing to write a letter to my insurance company a few months back for Zenical (sp?) so that they would cover it. Actually he did write the letter and I told him to hold up on it because I was researching this. I sure hope he helps me out!! Thanks, wrote: > Yes, you're right, but can you get him to *do* it -- that's the > question. Guest guest
Hi , The preapproval paperwork must be sent in by the surgeon doing the procedure. One physician can refer you to another physician and he can determine that you would be a candidate(if elective surgery) or that it is needed(if not elective). But,the only one who can determine that you are a candidate AFTER AN EVALUATION is the one who evaluates you for the procedure that will be performed,in our case DrR.Only speak to Patrice Lennon when you call BCBSNC she handles all of Dr R's. Guest guest
Yes, you're right, but can you get him to *do* it -- that's the question. The money the doctors in those HMO's make is often based on how much they save the company so they have a vested interest in never sending you anywhere that will cost money . . . . When you get a chance to chance insurances, never get an HMO (in my humble opinion). Guest guest
Hey Rhonda!!!! Wow! I've Got A Twin Out There!!! HeeeeHeee! What would the chances be for this to happen. So you truly know what I go through everyday! Man, it sure is good to know someone out there has the same concerns as me!! Keep in touch with me and lets see if we can get the surgery on the same date! I hope you win your case with Cigna. I think ALL insurance should cover this surgery and NOT the other stomach bypass surgeries! This is less evasive and the others are horrible looking from what I saw in 's website. NO THANK YOU! If the mini-bypass was not available, I WOULD STAY HEAVY before I went through what I saw in 's website! C'ya Twin!!!!! King Weight = 270 lbs. Height = 5'3 " BMI = 47 And Rhondas Too!!!! Heeee! Heee!
