Guest guest
Autumn my daughter had her surgery when she was 16. I'm just sorry it took me so long to know that there were other options out there for being obese besides the doctor always telling me to put her on a diet. These young girls will have a life to look forward to. Liz
Guest guest
Hi Guys: Karlie is a young girl, a teenager, and her Mom thought enough of her to pursue surgery for her. She was over Dr. R's weight limit following an accident which made her inactive for quite some time. Thus, Dee, her Mom, pursued other wls surgery for Karlie. Karlie ended up having an open RNY. It is very moving to me when a mother thinks enough of her daughter to pursue surgery. Dee herself wants to have surgery. Dee's husband is military and Dr. R is no longer able to accept the insurance that military dependents have. Thus, she will have to pursue surgery elsewhere. Dee, when Karlie is grown and can look back at the pictures of herself at well over 400 pounds, she will know the true measure of your love and the lengths to which you went in order for her to have a normal life! I salute you as a person and as a Mom. Guest guest
Hear! Hear! I second that! Dee, that took a lot of guts. You're a brave mom and you have given your daughter such a gift. To not live the next 40 years in a prison of fat, to have WL surgery while she is still young and can really look forward to a wonderful full life! My hat's off to you, Dee. I'm sorry she couldn't have the MGB but I am so glad she has come through her surgery so well and is doing so well! florence@... wrote: > > Hi Guys: Karlie is a young girl, a teenager, and her Mom thought enough of her to pursue > surgery for her.
