Guest guest
Hi Lora: What Long Island list were you referring to? Where are you? I live in Lake Grove. I have a question about digestive enzyme supplements, but first I suppose I should mention that I am about to start the SCD (waiting for my yogurt maker to arrive). I am starting it because I have severe constipation type ibs. As for my question about digestive enzyme supplements - my Naturopath wants me to start taking a Digestive Enzyme Supplement like Pancreatin or something, at the same time as beginning the diet. However, I can't take anything with Bromelain in it, because it has been shown that people who have dangerous allergic reactions to bee stings (which I do) can react the same way to Bromelain (even though bromelain is made from pineapple stems - weird but true). Anyway, I'm finding it nearly impossible to find a Digestive Supplement without Bromelain as one of the ingredients. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions? > > > Thanks! > Lora > > SCD Beginner (almost) > IBS-C for 7 years > Interstitial Cystitis for 7 years > Fibromyalgia for 12 years > Asthma and allergies forever > >
Guest guest
Hi Tracey! Actually I was referring to the longisland listserve email support list for SCD- SCD-list@.... I live in PA. It's a great list to belong to though, especially for me since I am attempting to begin the SCD and have lots of questions.
