Guest guest
Hi everyone! I'm feeling a little in the dumper today. Several days ago I went in for an MRI, and today I received the results. I hope that any of you with medical education can give me a little more insight, in layman's terms, about what the findings mean. Here is a brief description of the findings: "The L4-5 level demonstrates bilateral facet spondylosis, left greater than right. This results in narrowing of the neural foramen. There is fluid in the left facet joint greater than the right, and I cannot exclude a synovial cyst also on the left. There is deformity of the thecal sac though no definite central stenosis seen. "The L5-S1 level reveals mild facet spondylosis, again worse on the left than the right. This does not result in any definite central neural foraminal stenosis. "IMPRESSION: Previous surgery at the L4-5 level. There is deformity of the thecal sac at the L4-5 level secondary to facet spondylosis more so on the left than the right with some mass affect on the exiting nerve root." Thanks for any information anyone can give me. I am scheduled to see a neurosurgeon on the 26th of this month. Those of you who know me know that I've had some severe pain in my left foot for quite some time. I'm curious to know if the findings on the MRI could be causing foot pain. Haven't been reading the posts regularly lately, but hope all of you are doing well. I'm off to a chiropractic appointment, but will check in later tonight. Love you all, T.
