Hi Pam,

Yes, and no problems now. Why do you ask?

I took phen phen in 1997 and lost about 60 pounds, I have no helath problems

from taking it, however of course I gained all the weight back. but no

problems here.

There was just so much talk about heart problems when they first took

it off the market that I just started wondering if it caused any

problems when you have surgery.

Thanks

Hi Tina,

That's about what I lost (and gained).

Thanks for the info,

I would be willing to bet that probably 80% or more of the people on

here have been on fen-phen (and nearly every other quack diet and

body-killing idea anybody ever came up with.)

I was on it, but not for long, so my experience is probably irrelevant,

but so far as I know, there's no reason it should have anything to do

with the MGB at all, unless you got mitral heart valve damage from the

fen-phen in which case you better ask your cardiologist and Dr. R. if

you are okay to have *any* surgery (including the MGB).

Kind regards,

I've done both and had no problems except I'm not

losing...
