Hi all, I am wondering if any of you have any suggestions for activities for a 4 & 1/2 year old girl. I am trying to keep her active and this year has decided that she doesn't want to do dance class like last year. We are looking into gymnastics but I was wondering if there are any other things that kids like. She has NO interest in sports like t-ball, basketball or soccer. We do not live anywhere near horses I am concerned about letting her do indoor swimming. (pa and other bacteria) We are feeling very limited here. Any Ideas? (We live in PA so I am thinking indoor so we can continue during the cold months)
Guest guest
yes, does all the craft things and we read a ton, I was thinking more about exercise types of things, She has a ball hopper that she likes to use. We do not have a Y that is close by and I'm not sure if the indoor pool at the middle school is checked as often as it should be. we have a small yard so a big trampoline is out but maybe a small one would work for her, thanks! Guest guest
Great. Sorry about the " Y " . BUT you should ask about the school pool --They should be checked by the health dept. regardless of CF........... But there is also JUMP ROPE ; Hula HOOP, (saw them at Toys R Us , so they are still around... wee ones too;) They have children exercise tapes....or some like funny ones, or some with girls too. She could do those in some cute little leotards & make a game out of it . Music, you could do with her:):)... Something my gals liked were roller skates. For the wee ones they have them with slower (plastic), wheels so they can be used inside & if used outside, they don't go fast. Maybe in your garage--basement or driveway or sidewalks. KIDS love things like that too. Take a walk thru a TOYS ARE " US " & see what new stuff they have ......or do you get a Sears Catalog, or live near a store & look thru one. It is a shame she doesn't want dance. That is such good exercise.. I am sure folks will come up with some . Good luck & God Bless you.
