Guest guest
I learned the hard way regarding treatments. From the time Tyler was 4 months old he screamed bloody murder when we did treatments.....I figured out around 10 months old to try them while he was sleeping and has worked perfectly since. He is 5 and a half years old and because it takes half hour to 45 minutes (depending on if he is on TOBI or not) I still do them while he is sleeping in the mornings. I can't see waking him up at 6:15am when I can let him sleep till 7:00am and get that extra sleep. In the evenings he is awake while doing them, and half of the time he still gives me a hard time about it. A helpful hint: In the mornings while I am getting ready for work, I make sure he is sleeping so that his face is turned sideways, and I prop the neb cup up using stuffed animals. Every 5 minutes or so I go back in and check on it to make sure he has not rolled over. I am lucky because Tyler sleeps like a rock and doesn't move much. Guest guest
My 17 yr old still does morning nebulizers while sleeping! He gets up for his antibiotic capsule, then goes back to bed propped up with a foam wedge and pillows behind him and pillows on each side to keep him upright while he sleeps through his nebulizing.
