Guest guest
I have to disagree here... and clarify. The boiling point is the same for cow or goat. The fact is, we can't bring goat milk beyond 185 degrees F without damaging the delicate proteins. The actual " boiling point " is right around 212 degrees for either cow or goat. It is *okay* to bring cow milk to the " boiling point " ....it won't be overly damaged.... but NOT okay to bring goat milk to that high of temp. I personally choose to bring my cow milk to 180 degrees also.... because it really does not NEED to be heated any hotter than that to sterilize it. I don't feel the need to waste the electricity or time. Elaine brought it to boiling because she didn't use a thermometer. Cow's milk boiling point is higher. i bring my cow's milk to 212 F and goat to 180. Carol F.
