I have to disagree here... and clarify. The boiling point is the same for cow or

goat. The fact is, we can't bring goat milk beyond 185 degrees F without

damaging the delicate proteins. The actual " boiling point " is right around 212

degrees for either cow or goat. It is *okay* to bring cow milk to the " boiling

point " ....it won't be overly damaged.... but NOT okay to bring goat milk to

that high of temp.

I personally choose to bring my cow milk to 180 degrees also.... because it

really does not NEED to be heated any hotter than that to sterilize it. I don't

feel the need to waste the electricity or time. Elaine brought it to boiling

because she didn't use a thermometer.

This is from our web site and has photos and instructions on making

goat yogurt. Cow's milk boiling point is higher. i bring my cow's milk

to 212 F and goat to 180.
