Guest guest
Hello fellow moms. Does anyone have a good 'recipe' for bubble soap? I have 3 kids who love bubbles, but, unfortunately one of them is a clumsy 10 yr old who has spilled every bottle of bubble soap I have ever bought. It gets expensive when it ends up in a puddle in the yard. I have lots of empty bottles and bubble wands (from guess where), I just need a soap- I know there are successful make at home bubble soaps, I just don't know any. (Dish soap and water does not work). Thanks, everyone. Amber.
Guest guest
I wouldn't call this a recipe with my lack of precision. But we always just fill the bottle up most of the way and then squirt some dish soap in. If you manage to get to little, so that there are no bubbles, you can add more. If you manage to get more than you need, it won't do any harm. And if your kids play with bubble often (or spill often) you'll soon get a knack for adding the right amount. Sheril PS- It won't matter whether you use Palmolive or Dawn or what; I'm pretty sure any brand of Dish soap will do it. kennetheriklucy wrote: Hello fellow moms. Guest guest
You need glycerin. You can buy a bottle in the cake decorating section of the hobby stores, or sometimes Wal-Mart carries it too. The best thing to do, once you've mixed your dawn and water ( I think it's 12 to 1 ratio) add ONE DROP of glycerin, and let it sit for 24 hours. The longer it sits the better the bubbles. We get the best results after a week. Give it a shot. One bottle can last for years! - -----Original Message----- << Hello fellow moms. Does anyone have a good 'recipe' for bubble soap?
