Guest guest
I have the yogourmet and have been making the yogurt, which is delicious, but I have one question that's been bothering me. How come on the outside of the starter package it says to refrigerate, yet it is not refrigerated in the store or in the box with the machine. The same goes for progurt. It came, supposedly in a chill pack, but it was warm when it arrived, since the ice in the pack must have melted long ago. I'm wondering if I've been making yogurt without the actual probiotics since none of them have been refrigerated. This is puzzling me. Thanks for any insight! Best wishes to all!!! Guest guest
I talked to a guy at GI prohealth yesterday about my order-I had some problems getting it shipped. Anyway, we were discussing the starter and he told me that it could live unrefridgerated for about a week, depending on the temperature. He said the ice packs would probably be warm when I received it and that it was ok. I asked him how I would know if the cultures were working and he said-it wont make yogurt. It will be all soupy. Hope this helps. I have received my starter and I am waiting on my maker. It gets here tomorrow and I am leaving town early tomorrow! I can't wait to try it.
