Hi Rosemary,

I've been eating some protien bars from Walmart. I used to eat them a

lot before I gained all of this weight and exercised all of the time.

They have improved them a lot since then. They are called Met-Rx

Protein Plus bars. I like the Chocolate Roasted Peanut one. It sort

of has a coffee taste to it. They are very soft and go down easy for

newer post-op's. They have a really thin chocolate coating, but I

hav'nt dumped off of them they have 32 grams of protein per 3 ounce

bar and lots of good vitamins and minerals. You might want to try

them.

I know this is going to sound dumb but..........such as??? Do you mean the

powder that goes in smoothies or a meat of some kind? I really need some

ideas for protein. I'm in the " I don't care for smoothies club " and need

some good alternatives for someone one month out.

Any ideas would be wonderful.

Hi Dinah, they are near the pharmacy in my Walmart, and I think that

I saw them just under the pharmacy counter at a Super Walmart the

other day. Just look for the Boost, Ensure and such and they should

have a display of protein bars. MetRx is a leader in muscle

supplements and they are good about not adding a lot of extra sugar.

They also are low in fat. When I used to exercise a lot, I noticed a

lot of difference in my strength and muscle when I used the MetRx

products on a daily basis. They are really great for taking with you

to work or on trips where you may not be able to make proper food

choices.
