Guest guest
Hi everybody, Its been a while since I have posted with a " problem " . had his last CF appt the beginning of August. I asked the doc to look at his toes cause to me they looked different. He said they are slightly clubbed and so are his fingers. I think unconciously this has really been bothering me. I look at his feet when I am holding him, I keep looking for them to get worse. I know I am probably driving myself more crazy then I need to with this, but I cant help but think that I could have or should have done something more to prevent this. gets 2 treatments a day, sometimes more, he gets his feeds like he is supposed to along with boluses if needed. Is this really that common or should I be worried. Help me please cause this is the first time in a long time that I feel completely helpless as far as CF goes. Thanks to you all, , mommy of 4, 4 with CF
Guest guest
I am sorry that I just don't know much about this except that sometimes it happens even if their lungs are doing just fine. For me it is a fear because I guess in most cases it has to do with low SATS. I could be wrong, but I also heard recently I think on here that there are some who have really good health and it still happens. I am sorry for the bad news at clinic. You will be in my thoughts as well as . Love to your and yours Ashauna
Guest guest
, I believe that this is common in CF and happens to people without CF. I have a friend that has this and she does not have CF. I wasn't aware of her having any breathing problems. I am cetain that you could not have prevented this. Guest guest
- don't make yourself crazy with guilt!! My daughter has clubbing. Treat the symptomns - damn I can't spell today but you get the gist of it. If is looking good and acting normal and not coughing be happy. One Dr. I had said 50% of the diagnosis is " HOW " the child looks... When we list all the stuff our kids have we would expect them to be in the Hospital, but they ARE doing, acting and SEEM ok...........if non symptomatic don't get crazed............I know its easy to say but please don't blame yourself.
