brian,

You're correct that the cane syrup is not SCD legal. I wish that I had some

experience or wisdom to share with you on your other question. Hopefully others

will send you lots of ideas. The only thought I had on it was to wonder if you

could make your own almond milk. I haven't done this, but I believe I've heard

of others doing it. Maybe someone will post some tips on how to do it.

Sheril,

I am wondering if you have taken the time to read the two suggested SCD

websites in your welcome message. recipes for nut milk are on one of

them:

,

Commercial nut milks cannot be used but we make our own. Rice and rice products

also

cannot be used on SCD.

Please read the following web site and its links throughly when you get the

chance. When

there is progress and you are able to introduce goat yogurt (homemade) you will

be able

to make smoothies. If the supplement can be dissolved in a little warm water,

just add that

to liquids or even hide it in cooked fruits and vegetables.

Hi ,

Check the " recipes " section of www.pecanbread.com for home-made nut milk and

coconut milk recipes.

Yes... we have to make our own. Cane juice is a huge no-no.

You will also want to thoroughly check out all of his current supps for

illegals. The " supplements " section of the above website will provide info you

need about what to look for.

1) Though I cannot find cane syrup listed explicitly

anywhere as a prohibited food, I'm guessing it

violates the SCD. True or false?

2) What other solutions have people come up with to

pile down the various supplements their children are

on without masking it in one of the various 'milk'

products? I'm willing to start the juice wars if need

be, but maybe there is a SCD compliant drink out

there. (?)

Thanks in advance!
