Guest guest
Honestly Dawn what I do is keep separate notebooks for each area. Reflux and related meds symptoms and areas discussed at appointment. I also keep track of all procedures done for this area as well as any new info I copy and either tape or tuck into note book. I am one to forget little things so writing them down helps me. I also keep area for hospitalizations and routine cf care ie meds ( pulmonary ), enzymes. All is dated and kept together so that I do not loose anything, I also have had to start a new one ins and outs because of Colgans terrible pancreatic insufficiency. He is loosing a lot of fats right now and we are having a hard time figuring out what is going on. He is and has been taking the max enzymes for his weight. I hope this helps I just try to remembe to write everything down as I hear it or we have to begin a new therapy. Ashauna
Guest guest
When was tiny and just starting I used to log EVERYTHING! I had a big binder and kept a few sections. One was the eating/pooping log. I dated the top of the page and wrote times and what she ate (or how much poop there was) Another was the med log where I wrote it down whenever she got a med or treatment (other than enzymes- they were on the eating log) A third was med changes dates when she started meds or was taken off of them or if directions were changed. The last section was my questions for clinic visits and the answers they gave. I just took my binder with me. I have not done the log in a long time but it was very helpful for the first 2 yrs. If were to start to get sick, I would re-start the log. It was very helpful during hospitalizations because the nurses could look in the book if and I were wandering the hospital. Then they would know how many oz had of her formula or whatever...... This was what I did, though I'm sure someone else could figure out how to do this in a more efficient manner. Question about logging info When you log important info regarding your CF care, how do you log it? Do you log it by date, or do you log it by illness.....I'm trying to find a way to better keep track of Tyler's illness and drugs that he was given. I haven't been keeping track (paperwise) for some time (of course he has not been sick in a long time) but I've been keeping mental notes. Anyway, what is the best method to keeping track?
