Since you can't make yogurt, how about a good legal pro biotic? Dry curd cottage cheese will keep refrigerated for at least a week and can be used with fruit or have it with muffins. Make Lois lang Bread , page 127 BTVC edition ten. Legal hot dogs? Carol F. Celiac, MCS, Latex Allergy, EMS SCD 6 years
Guest guest
Hi Carol, Thanks for the suggestions. I stay away from dried fruits and nuts for now. I had a little piece of Larabar and did ok. I'll bring some of those. I will get a good probiotic today online. I am afraid to have cheese now since I had a test that said I make antibodies to casein and I've had a really bad reaction to whey powder. Thanks so much, June > > > Salads with olive oil, fresh fruits like bananas (ripen them) may be > available, you can bring fruit leather (recipe on the Pecanbread web > site) beef jerky and are you ready for dried fruits or nuts yet? Commercial food is at your own risk. I use a similar bar here in Toronto occasionally with no apparent consequences beyond sticker shock as the label says 200 calories for a small bar that's gone in three bites. > > Carol F. Guest guest
Ok, Thanks Carol, I'll give those to my husband, he'll eat anything. I will make my own muffins, and bring those and try to make my own bar. I'm sure there is a recipe for that somewhere. Take care, June > > > Hi Carol, > > > > Thanks for the suggestions. Guest guest
June, Depending on the cruiseline, if you call them, they will feed you the way you need to be fed... carnival, for instance, said it didn't matter WHAT diet you were on, you would fill out these forms, and meet with the chef (by phone????) and if they couldn't supply certain foods, you could bring them, with recipes, and they would make them for you. its' definitely worth a phone call.
