Does my daughter need a referral to a specialist or am I being neurotic?

My daughter (3.5 months) was a 7 week premmie. She has developed a flat

part of her head on the right hand side as she will not turn her head

any other way whilst sleeping. If looking down on her head from above,

her ears are way out of alignment (one is further forward than the

other). One of her eyes only opens half. (not sure if this is related).

The health visitor wouldn't even look at it and said she will grow out

of it. The GP said to ask the health visitor.

I am so worried as these so called 'health professionals' keep missing

problems in my kids. I had to push for a referral for my son and it

turns out he had a major problem with something else. I have no choice

in which dr's I use.

I can see it pretty well in pic 005. She would most definitely benefit from a band and I would push for them to investigate it further by any means necessary. Bad enough plagio can impact the face, so her eye could very well be related. I would also push to get her looked at for torticollis. I say this because she only sleeps one way and that's a pretty big indicator of tort. Not definite of course, but worth getting her checked out over in my opinion. Plagio and tort often go hand in hand.

I think you are doing right by following your gut here and are in no way neurotic. Well at least not because of this ^_^

PS: The good news is most places band 4-4 1/2 months at the earliest, and can band past the one year mark. It's definitly a time sensitive issue, but you're right on track to get the best results if you do band.
