I have had a great relationship with the people at our CF Foundation. When

Christian was diagnosed in 2001 they came to visit him and introduce themselves

to us. They are the best. I know a lot of people have other feelings about the

foundation but I know that if I need anything they do their best to help us

out. I don't mean financially but they lend a lot of support whenever they can.

They have even gone so far as to come speak at Christian's school to his

teachers when we were having a tough time of it. My daughter used to work at

Albertson's and they have always sponsored us in our Great Strides and done wrap

around fund raisers for us. Sorry didn't mean to ramble!

Dear TINA,

I have to agree with you on your local chapter gal. She is really a caring

and lovely person. I have been around her on 2 occasions this past year &

she couldn't have been nicer. .at the Jax family Ed day & then soon after

that , at the Shands Family day. I know though , that all are NOT that way.

in fact , they get corrected if they do anything else but fund raising.

Sooooooo, you are very lucky & she is a really big rep. for CFF.

I hope " our " Christian is doing well .............Maybe you all will come

down to our ED day in November .Its the Saturday the 1st. very easy to get

to . starts at 9am & over around 3:30 .............Call me or you will be

getting a note in all FL. med packages going out of pharmacy too. .... But

anyone who would like to come, can call me, write here or fax request to

me/us.

Ashauna;

I am actually about 20 minutes away ... lucky me! We are truly blessed

because we live 11 miles from the CF Clinic and 20 minutes away from the

foundation!

Who would ever have thought that when we bought our home that it was " just

right " ? I mailed your card I hope you let me know when you get it.

Tina

You must be close to the foundations meaning distance.

The closest to us is in Gainsville and is about 4 to 5 hours away.

I am glad that you have that relationship with them.

Bev,

What is the local reps name? I have spoken with a couple ladies

one who called me about 3 months ago to see if Colgan was doing ok. I

for some reason can not remember her name. She was very nice though.

Oh I forgot she is from Gainsville so possibly you both may be talking

about a different CFF>

Also I wanted to tell you thank you for the information. I got it

in the mail today. I was so excited. I really like your news letter.

I was wondering if I needed to sign up to receive it or if you had done

this when you sent me these copies. Just let me know because I would

love to keep receiving them.

I hope you got my reply, my computer went nuts while I was sending. it said

spell check was not functioning....egads.HELP :):)

Anyway . glad you got all.....enjoy.... Yes , you are on mailing list now.. &

a big thank you for your kind words, I just do seasonal now, used to do

monthly, but folks now have access to so much info -------It isn't fancy.

not financed by any one.

The folks(companies) that have a table at our ED DAY pay & I use that for

postage . I do it at home & the printer prints for free. :):)They are

grandparents of gal whose child has CF & was in our support group too. This

is 18 years old ..

For many years the ONLY one too. The CFF banned them BUT , I didn't listen

to them. if fact I told them ---??*%#, no one tells me what to say & no one

owns CF . If they did I would ban them:):):)hehe

they have names, numbers addys , etc.

Go to the CFF.org site & the names & all numbers are there.Click to

chapters link & the state-FL & then to city , They have a directory . You

could scan all , but it is quicker to fill in that info direct..good luck!!

I must get outa here Have a great weekend & enjoy.

Our local Albertson's here in Cheyenne did this. They did it in early July

then again in August. I am a very well known shopper there and I think that

after I told the cashier my sons situation that made everyone there kick it

into high gear. Not sure how much was raised but i told them that every

little bit helps.
