Guest guest
Well everyone I got my loan. That was the first hurdle. Then Angel flights advised me that they accepted my case. Well today they called and said they only have half the flight taken care of and if another volunteer pilot doesnt come forth by tomorrow 5pm I will have to go with my back up plan. Problem is, I really thought it would go through so I didnt have much of a back up plan. In fact, I only got a loan to cover the cost of the DOC band and the room, I didnt really get much else cause I didnt wanna press my luck with how much they would approve me for. So right now my only option is either driving (which scares me) or flying and everywhere I checked I'm looking at 330- 389.00. Wow that is alot. Someone is actually helping me out with a room for a bout 40 a night which is WONDERFUL but I so didnt plan on the cost of a possible flight. STUPID STUPID STUPID ME! Guest guest
I hope someone comes thru for you!!! How long of a drive would it be? With gas prices so low it may be the best option. Guest guest
I just checked and Southwest Airlines has flights from Denver to Phoenix for $69 each way. You could take the early flight out, have your appointment and take a late afternoon/early evening flight back, saving the need for a room. You'd need a ride from the airport, but I think you already had that covered, right? You may want to try calling as well. Some airlines offer discounts for flights of this type.I checked Greyhound as well, but forget that. It takes like 19 hours to get there. There's no way you could do that with an unpredictable baby. Good luck and keep us posted!!On Mon, Jan 12, 2009 at 2:50 PM, hrbenbrook <hrbenbrook@...> wrote: > > Well everyone I got my loan. That was the first hurdle. Guest guest
One other thought ...After you have your initial fitting, your appointments are really only like 15 minutes long. Maybe the AngelFlight person wouldn't mind waiting? Couldn't hurt to ask.HollyMum to 7-month-old , in DocBand since 1/5/09 On Mon, Jan 12, 2009 at 4:43 PM, Holly <hollyloo@...> wrote: I just checked and Southwest Airlines has flights from Denver to Phoenix for $69 each way. Guest guest
The Angel Flight pilots always waited for us. They truly don't mind. A lot of times they are able o combine the flight with business of their own. Heidrun On Tue, Jan 13, 2009 at 12:55 AM, Jen <JenandLuli@...> wrote: WOW Holly!!! Great resources!!!
