Guest guest
fell and knocked a tooth out of place a couple of weeks ago. It looks like now the tooth is getting gray and I was told if this happens, he might have to have a pulpotomy (a baby root canal). The dentist said he might be able to do it with no anesthesia, but I know , and I doubt that will happen. He hates anyone to put anything in or near his mouth. With my daughter, the dentist used a bit of nitrous oxide inhaled when he did her fillings. (Before the novocaine, and just to help her relax through the procedure.) Does anyone have experience with whether this is contraindicated for CF? I am so reluctant for anything but pure air to go into his lungs. They are doing so well, yet lung tissue is so delicate -- I don't want to upset the balance. Any advice or help appreciated! I'm searching on the web but so far have not found anything. The dentist's office is closed until noon today. )O( mama to , 3yo, w/CF, and , 5yo, no CF
Guest guest
, this summer a had a cavety and the doctor gave her some of that good gas, I like it:), and she was fine. After the fact I thought about it but it was too late. She did not have any side effect. > fell and knocked a tooth out of place a couple of weeks ago. Guest guest
That's good to hear. Thanks, . I am trying to search for any negative effects but can't find any. The tooth is just slightly gray so it may get worse, or it may stay like that and be okay. ??? I guess I will find out when we go to the dentist. It seems the laughing gas is the easiest way to do dentistry with little kids. had no problem getting through two fillings at a time. Guest guest
A little boy from our CF Clinic hates to go to the dentist. He puts up such a fuss, that the dentist now comes to the Children's Hospital while the little boy is " out " for a CAT scan and cleans his teeth while he is asleep.
