Guest guest
Congratulaions, Judy. Never underestimate the power of prayer. I'm so happy for you. You deserve it. Good News! I just got a call from the SS office to let me know that my SSDI has been approved. According to them, I am completely disabled (gee, I hate to admit that!). But they will start paying me in the middle of April. They will be paying the difference between what L'Oreal pays me and what SSDI pays - does this make sense? EG: L'Oreal pays me $1,865 a month - 1,285 from SSDI = so L'Oreal will now pay me: $580.00 and SSDI will pay $1,285 so that between the two of them, I will still be getting $1865 per month. There, I think I have that straight not. But here is the best part! Apparently since I went on disability on 2/14/01 at full salary for six months, SSDI should have begun last August, who knew? So they are sending me a retroactive check for....are you ready! $10,017isn't that awesome? I almost fell off my chair! God, do we ever need the money, too! Last month I spent $162 dollars for prescriptions (altho' they are for a three month supply, that's still a lot of money, at least it is to me. Of course, the thing I should do is just stick it in the bank, but I really want a used car, I am sooooo tired of being trapped in the house everyday, with no way to get anywhere unless a friend takes me out. So that's my big news! I am so excited, I just can't believe something like this is happening to me! It's like winning the lottery! Guest guest
The power of prayer and a very determined prayer group! My aunt has a HUGE one on the East Coast, and it's very effective. Their prayers are usually answered. My problem is they get answered, but I don't like the answer! Thank God, it's been such a bad week, and yet there have been some very bright spots too! Love, Judy Good News! I just got a call from the SS office to let me know that my SSDI has been approved. According to them, I am completely disabled (gee, I hate to admit that!). Guest guest
, yesterday, I was bouncing off the walls. Then Jim (the old poop), says wait till you have the check in your hand! Well, I know I will have the check soon, and I want a car! I'm tired of having to get up at 5:30 AM (yes, that is A.M.) to take him to work, especially if I didn't sleep the night before. I just want a car so I can do things on my own and not be tied to the house, you understand? I don't care if it is a piece of junk, just so long as it runs! Called my aunt about your family, they are on the prayer list. Please try to relax, worrying yourself into a flare will not help anybody. OK? Love, Judy Re: Good News! Oh Judy, i am sooo happy for you. If anyone deserves it you do.!!! Thisshould take some stress off of you. I'll celebrate for you tonight. I havean extra bottle of sparkling cider. Guest guest
Jo, I started to read the book, but in the first chapter when he said we all choose our paths in life, I got ticked off! I have been sick since I was 14 months old, and I sure never chose this! My psychologist says that we choose how we HANDLE these things, which I guess I can buy. So, I'll give it another chance. Ordinarily, I really like Dr. Phil, but for some reason last Monday, the first thing that came out of his mouth, my response was B.S.! So I guess that was just not a good day for me to watch him! I have ever intention of getting a car! I'll let you all know what happens! Love, Judy Re: Good News! Judy, Congratulations!! I'm so happy for you. Go for the car if it will make you happy.
