Need advice on haemophilus influenza

Cody's doc's nurse called a bit ago, and said that Cody grew h. influenza in his

last culture, so they want to put him on Duricef for 2 weeks, then check it

again--after that he may have to do IV antibiotics.

Does anyone have experience with this virus/bacteria? How bad can it affect the

lungs? What exactly is it? I am doing research on the net, and I have found

some stuff, but not enough to satisfy me!
