Guest guest
Please tell me. I understand that there is an issue regarding the ratio of different fats to each other. The ratio of DHA to EPA and that each type do something different. Doe anyone know anything about this? Rob's mom Fish Oil Question Hi: What brand of fish oil DHA/EPA is everyone using? The safest one out there is Nordic but it does have soy in it. Moms on other lists have said Nordic is the safest and wouldn't trust anyother brand. Thanks Jeanne
Guest guest
I haven't yet seen anything in any SCD literature about the ratio of fats, but I read a book on fats called Fats That Kill Fats That Heal by Udo Erasmus, which had a ton of info on that idea. Elaine loved that true story. Elaine advocated the use of non hydrogentated fats like vegetable oils and also butter. To my knoeledged, She never stipulated specific amounts of fat but it seems unwise to either avoid fats or oiverdo them and this would apply to the occasional SCD-er who has obesity issues. You can track your daily percentage of fat intake at: www.fitday.com I use some olive oil and some butter every day and less often cook with vegetable oils. Have another look at BTVC, in terms of balance and common sense on page 64, edition 10. On page 204 in the index there are many pages cited dealing with fats. Carol F.
