Guest guest
M I can't remember if anyone has responded. Tree and peanuts are definitely in different families. And some people can tolerate one but not the other. Even if you are not allergic to one family but to the other, issue that comes up is that it is hard to make sure there is no cross contamination with the other type of nuts. For example, one mom bought pecans from a farm that only grows pecans in order ot make sure that there were no cross contam issues with cashews as her son is highly allergic to cashews. HTH Rob's moms Re: Peanut butter issue I'm sure that he had eaten the regular old Skippy peanut butter before the test since we were in the land of peanut butter and jelly sandwich, so does that make it more likely that the test result was correct? Since tree nuts and peanuts are in different families, should I consider that he might be able to handle other nut butter(almond, cashew, ect.), or assume that they will also cause a problem?
