Guest guest
<< We have been having withdrawals especially Becky. She's not as social. >> This is probably symptoms of bacterial die-off. Should be temporary. <<Her bowel movements have always been good or normal. Does that mean we can move on or should we stay where we are?>> <<Will we have to use probiotics if her movements are fine?>> It is still really important... for long term gut healing... to replace the bad gut pathogens (that are being starved out by SCD) with beneficial flora. Whether that is with an acidophilus supplement, or with SCD yogurt, you need to get them down there. <<The only grape juice I found were dark and they had added flavour to it. It was sugarfree. Guest guest
Hi Patti, We live in Queensland, Australia. Thank you for your advice. I'd been considering withdrawing apples. Now I'll hold out for a while longer. Which adicophilus supplement would be the best? Should I start it straight away? We have been doing it for about 5 days now. Guest guest
Tracey, I don't know what acidophilus supps are available to you down there. You want to look for one that has only acidophilus... and has NO illegals added. Check the website, www.pecanbread.com , under " Supplements " for a list of legal and illegal supp additives.... then just go shopping with an eagle eye on the labels. If you find one that also has s.boulardii in it, that is acceptable... but NO OTHER bacterial strains are legal as supplements. ESPECIALLY not any of the bifidum strains. Yes, you should start supplementing right away if you're not able to use SCD yogurt. It's very important to repopulate the gut with the good guys. Hope you're enjoying winter... wishing we could send some of our summer heat " down under " right about now. Patti Re: intro-advice needed Hi Patti, We live in Queensland, Australia.
