Guest guest
Okay, since this has been coming up so much lately, I'm going to ask. I know that Elaine did not address this question specifically. What's the deal with a kid who has ZERO bifidus? And what do you do? We're trying to clear up the whole dysbiosis scene and his bifidus is ZERO. Bifidus is a beneficial bacteria. Yes, it's supposed to be low in the digestive track and Elaine didn't think we should introduce it through the mouth. That's where my knowledge stops. I'm going to revisit this question with his doctor tomorrow, but by her own admission, you folks know more about this diet than she does. Guest guest
I've heard of introducing it via enema..... but don't know anything about that. Maybe your doctor does. If she's willing to have you do it that way, or thinks it's effective, it may be better than having it overgrowing in the upper tract. I think that is really beyond the scope of SCD. Too bad we've lost Elaine... there is SO much more research that needs to be done. patti bifidus Okay, since this has been coming up so much lately, I'm going to ask. Guest guest
My daughter's OAT indicated ZERO good bacteria!! She has autism.
