Guest guest
Meleah, You would have to post exactly what bacterial strains are in it... along with any other ingredients. Patti Udo's probiotic Does anyone know if Udo's infant probiotic is OK to use?
Guest guest
I bought this a while back when we were GFCF. It has maltodextrin in it so it's a no-no, sorry. > > Does anyone know if Udo's infant probiotic is OK to use? We'd been using Kirkman L. acidofolus(sorry about the spelling) which I believe is legal. We ran out, and I had some Udo's infant/toddler probiotic on hand because I give it to my 15 mth. old. It is formulated for children birth to 5yrs., and iel is 3yrs. I'm just wondering if it's OK for him to use for scd, and does anyone have an opinion on whether or not it is a good product? Our dan dietician recommended for my neurotypical baby because I told her that I'd like to have him on a probiotic just as precaution. Her opinion was that Udo's is the best on the market right now. Any opinions for or against that statement? > Meleah > scd 3mths. > iel 3yrs, asd > Ethan 5yrs, Mark 1yr., both healthy > > >
Guest guest
Thank, . So, does anyone want to recommend a good probiotic for a 3yr. old? Do I need to give it to him if he's eating the yogurt? I started the probiotics before we introduced yogurt, and I've just continued to give it to him every day even if he eats yogurt. Should I? Guest guest
Elaine always said that Dr. Haas suggested both yogurt and an acidophilus supplement... so that's what she always did, and recommended. Check the pecanbread.com site under " supplements " for a legal probiotic. Patti Re: Re: Udo's probiotic Thank, . So, does anyone want to recommend a good probiotic for a 3yr. old? Guest guest
I found an inulin-free probiotic at Kirkman's last week: http://www.kirkmanlabs.com/products/probiotics/inulin/inulin_404_90.html It is new and is not on the SCD supplement list, but looking at the ingredients it appears to be legal. You might want to call Kirkman's and see what they say. mom to , 14 mos (ASD) SCD 1 wk > >> > >> Does anyone know if Udo's infant probiotic is OK to use? Guest guest
Would a veteran mind taking a look at the ingredient list for this probiotic from Kirkman. I'm not sure about a couple of the strains used; one being bifidombacterium bifidus and another being streptococcus thermophilus. If someone would follow the link that gave me, and check it out, I'd be really appreciative. Let me know if it looks OK. Guest guest
" I'm not sure about a couple of the strains used; one being bifidombacterium bifidus and another being streptococcus thermophilus. Guest guest
Any particular reason why bifidus is illegal? Just trying to make sense of all this, especially since hubby always asks me for the " proof " ! Are there any other strains that are not legal? My kiddo needs a probiotic very badly, I'm very desperate to find something legal. mom to , 14 mths (ASD) SCD 1 wk > > " I'm not sure about a couple of the strains used; one being > bifidombacterium bifidus and another being streptococcus thermophilus.
