Well, based on my discussion with Applegate Farms, here are the

ingredients in the two types of turkey bologna they offer, organic and

antibiotic free. Do they look SCD-legal?

Organic Turkey, Water, Sodium Lactate (from beets), Sea Salt, Celery

Juice, Organic Paprika, Organic Spices (paprika, white pepper, garlic

powder, coriander, mace, onion, ginger, cardamom, cayenne), Organic

Garlic, Organic Onions, Lactic Acid Starter Culture

Antibiotic-free Turkey, Water Sodium Lactate (from beets), onions,

garlic, salt, pepper, Sodium Lactate (from beets), beet powder, white

pepper, garlic powder, coriander, mace, onion powder, ginger,

cardamom, cayenne

Thanks!

All those spice powders are not legal eg. onion powder, garlic powder etc. Sorry

to be the bearer of bad news. The only deli meat I found that is legal is

proscuitto.

I've wondered about the turkey bologna too because the package says

sodium lactate (from corn or beets). I called Applegate Farms about

this and they said " there is no corn in the products " . I told them

what the label said and they had no explanation!

Does your label say the sodium lactate is only from beets?
