Hello, we homeschooled all our daughters, 28 wocf, 26wcf, 25 adopted wocf, and

10 adopted w cf variant. While homeschooling our girls our middle daughter was

hardly sick except maybe once a year got pneumonia. kAs parents we knew her

goods and bad points and talents which we grew on those points. She was active

with lots of energy and graduated with a GED at 15 years old. lkShe then

decided she wanted to go volunteer at the hospital so we made arrangements for

to work in the newborn nursery and to wear a mask. She continued to do good.

Now that she became an adult she wanted to be a teacher and is now working as a

kindergarden teacher with all the snotty nose children and in return she is sick

about every 2 months. She is now on O2 through out the day and her kids love to

know all about her vest. I do worry about her but she is doing what she wants

to do and is happy with life. Our children with chronic disease can thrive at

home as parent as there roll models and teachers. Who knows our children better

than us. We used a lot of sewing projects, cooking and various things as

school projects since she did not like math at all but was excellent in the

practical measurements and projects. My 10 year old daughter as much more

problems but she came to us with CP, drug addicted, Fas and is at a 4 year old

age. She only has one functional lung. But we are very happy when those days

that she needs more help at the hospital that the Ronal Mc house is next

door to the hospital. We do have a tutor that comes in 1 hour twice a week to

help us and she does go to Rehab 3 times a week with her little mask for her

therapy. Being home I thinks help to keep our children away from so many bugs

out there but not all but every little thing helps. God Bless your endeavors
