Guest guest
, I just wanted to share in your frustration with a picky SCD eater. My son eats the same foods everyday(scrambled eggs with spinach for breakfast, hot dog with banana and SCD cookie for lunch, bananas and SCD cookies for snack, steak and strawberries for supper everyday. He occasionally eats apple or pear too) and I have tried countless times to broaden his selection, but he is not interested. I finally stopped driving myself nuts over it and just decided to let him eat the same foods everyday if that is what he wants. At least they are all healthy foods. Some kids only eat junky processed foods every day. Now I offer him what I am eating and if he says no, which he always does, then I say OK. I do hope someday that he will want more of a variety. He is missing many yummy SCD options, but for now he is happy so I will let him be. It is less stress on me. Most toddlers and grade school children do eat the same stuff everyday anyway and I think a lot of these children are afraid to try new things because so many foods have made them sick in the past. I hope my message helps you to feel less alone. Kim Mom to Noah SCD since 02/2005 / ASD / 3yrs old
