Guest guest
Hi everyone, Abby has been doing well. Something we've noticed lately is that when she cries we can hear a slight " raspiness " . This has happened before. The first time we heard it the team attributed it to her tracheo malacia, then after a few days of me calling them they prescribed a round of Tobi. That time she would make the sound even when playfully exhaling loudly. She didn't have a cough then either. A few weeks ago we heard it again and let her pediatrician look at her. She cried good for him so he heard the sound, then listened to her lungs and said they were clear. Said it sounded like some inflammation in the upper airways. The sound came back a few days ago and hasn't gone away. Today she coughed a couple of times and I heard a little " pop " like she'd cleared something. That " raspy " sound is concerning to me and I wonder if something may be brewing. In every way she is thriving. She started walking a few weeks ago and is now trucking all around the house. Although we are vigilant as ever with her CPT I feel like we've been spoiled since Abby has been doing so well. We actually are feeling fairly normal and don't talk about CF all the time. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Joe
