I know where your coming from, I'm totally disable because of my weight

and in severe pain each day. I know part of it is because of my weight. I've

tried so many things over the years with no success, except heart damage.

I have Medicare and now their saying they won't take Medicare. So it leaves

me hanging, I would give anything to have this surgery and be able to go back

to work. Hang in there, and God bless.

, I don't have any answers, but I did want to acknowlege your

anger and frustration. It is such a and Goliath thing and it

is so hard to feel so helpless. In addition, it would feel much

better if we felt we had some kind of advocate, someone who could

stand up for us with giant, gnarly credentials and scare the sh*t out

of the insurance companies when necessary. It's even stupider that

they won't realize that it would be less expensive for them in the

long run to treat our obesity now rather than pay for ankle

replacements, and hip replacements and (god forbid!) heart bypass

surgery and diabetic treatment and on and on!

Perhaps the tide will yet turn. If you are religious maybe you could

appeal to the Big Guy and he will do something for you. Personally,

I like the lawyer idea. Maybe you could try calling a whole bunch of

them.

I wonder what would happen if you tried to contact someone like

Oprah? She stands up for women and she certainly has battled the

weight thing.

Hope these aren't stupid ideas. But if nothing else, I hear you, I

empathize, I wish there was something I could do.
