Guest guest
Tania, I also suffer from migraines and if I let them get too bad I have to go to the Dr. and get a shot, there is a shot out now called Torodol (sp?) anyhoo it IS NOT a narcotic it doesn't make you sleepy and you can drive yourself home, it is a wonderful drug. >From: taniaday2@... >Reply-To: MiniGastricBypass (AT) egroups (DOT) com >To: MiniGastricBypass (AT) egroups (DOT) com >Subject: Need answer quickly >Date: Fri, 25 Aug 2000 19:30:24 -0000 > >Hi everyone > >I have a SEVERE headache and can't take advil or motrin because I am >scheduled for surgery in less than two weeks. Guest guest
Tania: Maybe I'm just a wuss, but I'd call the PCP immediately. I don't think a severe headache is something where you should be asking for lay opinion. Espcially if you get migraines. She told me that there was absolutely nothing I could take and that I just had to " grin (lol!) and bear it. " I have never been prone to migraines, though, so your situation might be different. Just my 2 cents. Good luck! Dawn Jester Wichita, Kansas MGB 8/9/00 15 lbs. gone forever!!!
