Guest guest
An endocrinologist looked at Adam at our CF visit (new clinic). We've never had THAT type of doc see him before. He also has 18q- so they ordered some blood tests to check his hormone levels. Found out that his brain is telling his thyroid to work overtime and it's just working at full/normal for someone his age, NOT overtime as directed. So now he is taking synthetic thyroid. This may help in his growth too. Also wanted to say that the continuous feed didn't work so I set the machine to put in 4oz in a halfhour and then sit idle and do again 3hrs later. It worked! He got 16oz overnight last night and only woke us up once for a diaper change and a hug! I'm feeling very positive today and I think it's going to work. Just wanted to share that! (Thanks also for all the ideas and recipes. I decided I'm starting another recipe box for the kitchen, labeled ADAM!)
