,

You're fortunate that with that much surgical removal that you

didn't end up with diabetes. It really can be such a pain on top of

the chronic pancreatitis sometimes. When the pain gets out of

control and my blood sugars go hypo there are times that I'm just

totally out of it in frustration!!

I hope this surgery is the answer for you. Yes, the pseudocysts

can cause so much pain. Mine are 6 x 5 cm. and 5 x 5 cm. and

now seem to be the primary source of all my pain. When I had

pancreas burnout in the spring of last year all the pain had

stopped entirely and I was med free for several months. It was

delightful, but the pain began again as soon as the pseudocysts

became enlarged again. My hope is that someday they will

resolve entirely and I'll be free of that concern alltogether.

I'll keep you in my prayers for success on this surgery and hope

that everything goes well on the 19th. Try to stay away from

those meds as much as you can....it sounds like some of them

really make you into another person entirely.

Take care,

With hope and prayers,

Heidi
