You need to have some kind of carbohydrate other than just honey. Patti
Guest guest
You're right. I have a yeast overgrowth problem (athletes foot and " bubbles " on my hand flare up when I drink fruit juice or too much honey, which I did a few days ago and the itching almost drove me crazy), so I'm trying to starve the yeast. It should still be okay though...I hope. I might drink a little diluted apple cider, but I can't have too much. Guest guest
Theresa, Are you doing SCD yogurt? Or at the very least, a supplemental acidophilus? Oh, that's right... you asked in another message about whether the one with the apple pectin would be legal. I'm not exactly sure... let's see if I can find out. Anyway, you MUST get some good flora going on down there, or yeast will have a better chance of taking over. They are so opportunistic! SCD yogurt is the absolute best way of delivering them to your gut. Also, just eating nothing but chicken and cheesecake is not healthy, except very short term. How long were you planning to hold to this limited menu? I would think that maybe green beans or zuccini would be a good addition and would not feed yeast. Please go read at Elaine's website, www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info , under the " Knowledge Base " for what she had to say about yeast. Patti Re: SCD Intro " Pudding " You're right. Guest guest
Hi Patti: My plan was to successfully complete 48 hours 100% SCD intro legal, That's been tough without even the slightest infraction LOL. After that, yes, cooked veggies. I will check out Elaine's site about yeast. I do eat SCD home-made yogurt, but have run out...hence the request for having the pills on hand in an " emergency " . I just re-started SCD myself, the last week of May (out of comraderie and convenience, since I was starting my daughter on it). I had the WORST time in those first few days! I was CRAVING chocolate, potato chips and bread! (Oh, sorry I even mentioned those things!!) Ironically, my 9-yr-old daughter did just fine. The only thing she's been asking for is raisins..... legal, but not for beginners. Patti
