Guest guest
Dear Vonny, After a good introduction, apple sauce and pear sauce is good for constipation and so is orange sauce (more drinkable).....easy to digest and high in fiber. Also, try some SCD yogurt, SCD probiotics, SCD accidophilus and lots of water and SCD watered down apple cider...this will get a plugged gut back into balance too. Try this first. I still say peel and cook the first month or so. Die Off can cause constipation! Amoung many things. His gut may be sicker than he once believed! If your husband is not having serious digestion problems and does not have GI disease...maybe try a little ras apple or carrot if the above does not work...but I would still peel it! Be careful jumping. In this house we always pay! But if he is healthy...he maybe able to get away with it. This is soooo cool that you are doing this as a family! So are we! My husband was the biggest baby of the group too! LOL!!!! We also had success for a while GFCFSF....it wore off though...is the only thing I can think. Failed miserably...that is why we are here! Since SCD mimics the origional diet of mankind....they learned that we don't have to have grain fiber to be healthy. Up untill recently, the last .5% of the time mankind has been on the planet...we did not eat grain or complex carbs....and yet we where healthier in many ways. No one had the GI problems of our modern socieity...let alone autism. Sometimes more fibre will help (but not always), but knowing what he is eating now helps us to make a better recommendation of what to foods to add next. In the meantime, fluids (water and diluted legal juice; at least 6-8 glasses/day) and hot drinks (legal tea etc) will help stimulate peristalsis (contraction and movement of bowels). Guest guest
Thanks Sheila, He is eating mostly the intro diet, with some cooked fruits (apple and pear.) We have recently tried spinach as well. I will get him to drink more - see if that helps Vonny > > Hi Vonny, > > > We are now on day 9, and although we are feeling a bit yuck, my 2 > > kids (5yr boy with ASD, and 3yr NT girl) have not had any diarrhea > > for 4 days.
