Guest guest
I don't mind cooking. I have tried cookies, chicken, pancakes, etc. and all my almost six year old will eat is Boar's Head beef bologna (I checked it out online, and it seemed ok, but let me know if it's not), bananas (ripe), beef, lamb, pineapple, and SCD pancakes. I don't know what to give him for a snack, I don't know what to s4send for school lunch, etc. I would really like for him to have a more varied menu. I have tried giving him other foods, but he pushes it away. Obviously I am new at this, so any recommendations would be really, really welcome. Thanks! Guest guest
, When I looked online for the ingredients, I was unable to find a details list. Do you have a detailed list of the bologna ingredients? Boar's Head is not typically a brand that is SCD friendly. When a child that it is a picky eater is on a specialized diet, oftentimes meals and snacks consist of the same foods. So, oftentimes the child will eat the same foods for breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner. This of course, I hope will change over time. And I hope the child learns to try new foods. But I think that you just have to pretty much let go of your preconceived ideas of what each meal and snack should be. The main concern is to make sure that the child is getting enough calories. Continue to prepare new dishes and introduce them. There is a really good article on pecanbread.com about introducing new foods to picky eaters. I would recommend that you read it. You'll find a link to it on the Overcoming Difficulties page. Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/
