Guest guest
Me too! any suggestions would help. 504 plan...how to?? We are starting to work out a 504 plan for our daugher who is just starting kindergarten. I have no clue of what to ask for, or what to leave out. I don't want to come across to needy or ask for way to much. Any help, suggestions and advice would be wonderfull. Thank you Sandi
Guest guest
Some ideas might be: using a personal water bottle and not a water fountain, unlimmited bathroom trips, accomodations for enzymes... I think anything that seems appropriate for your daughter's individual situation. The school nurse might have some suggestions. In my son's previous school, there was another older boy with cf and the school made arrangements so that the boys used different rest rooms. I hope some of this helps. Take Care! Guest guest
Hi Sandi, Below is a link to Ortho-McNeil's Fall 1999 CF Life newsletter. It has a special Back-to-School insert explaining 504's and OHI's and what you should consider based on your child's needs. I hope it helps you. http://www.cfcare.com/news/cf_life/fall99/page1.htm When that page loads, scroll to the bottom and keep clicking " next page " to read the article. (There's also an article about Dr. Roum's inhaled GSH trial, and the article mentions " a Utah group, " which is misleading since " the group " comprised individuals across the US.).
