Guest guest
I think what you're seeing on top of the goat milk is not " cheese " .... it's a very thin layer of fat that has separated out. I would suggest just shaking the milk well before making yogurt out of it. You need to tell us how long you've been on SCD and how long ago you started using the yogurt. Patti, mom to Katera SCD Yogurt I've been trying to use the SCD yogurt, which turned out great, but cannot seem to move past three teaspoonfuls. Does anyone else notice a reaction when first using this? I'm not sure if this is normal (and it merely cleans one out a little bit) or not. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking of trying goat milk next time...when buying goat milk...is there supposed to be cheese settled on the top of the milk??? Thanks for any information. It is very likely you might get a reaction. ( Children start with one eighth of a teaspoonful.) After six years on SCD if I have not been having yogurt a continuing basis i sometimes react. I've never noticed a topping on the two brands of goat's milk I buy Carol F. Celiac, MCS, Latex Allergy, EMS SCD 6 years
Guest guest
I've been using the yogurt for a few weeks. I've been using the SCD off and on for the past few months, until I realized how essential it was and began using it to the letter. When I first began using the yogurt, I used a half of a cup three times a day (before meals). Now I'm down to spoonfuls. I'm wondering if you eat it WITH your meals if it has a less of a reaction, being buffered by the food. My degree is in nutrition and I find this diet plan wonderful. I currently have diet plans for those with anxiety under my website but this is the greatest plan I've ever encountered for colon distress. I'm amazed at how well it works. I'm planning on putting up a site to help others and a forum ASAP. It will be great to talk to others who are experiencing this as well. Thanks for your feedback. Guest guest
Thanks Carol, I've been adding it to recipes as well. I'm ready to try the tomato soup. I use it in the cheesecake and the custard is one of my favorites. I know you'll never believe this, but I have become a full convert. I could eat this way forever without complaints. My husband too! After the third week passed, I began to experience energy, but a calm kind of energy (not hyper). It's this very healthy way of living. I have wondered about cholesterol. I love the cheeses, and meats etc. Any thoughts? Thanks Again, you have been more helpful than any doctors or anyone else I have been to since January. Love, Ronnie Re: SCD Yogurt > Do you feel the SCD yogurt loses a little bit of its probiotic powers > by the second week? My cholesterol and tri-glyceride levels attained normal and remained so for the past six years, but I do exercise. >> >> Carol F.
