This is the beginning and the end of the story for us. I spend more

time in the kitchen now than I have for years but am happy to do it.

I told someone a while back that we make our own catsup and she said

that this diet sounded like way more work than she would do. She has

never had a child that would go into a rage for seemingly no reason

and rip her house apart for 2 hrs either though.

I know that there are medications that could take care of

Tobias 'problems' but at what cost to him in the end.

I praise God in heaven daily for leading us to SCD. When I am the

most tired I make myself remember when........

Be bless Carol. You are such an encouragement.

The kitchen can be a very comforting place. I have the computer there

and can be online while supervising some of the cooking. My neighbor

has a TV in her kitchen.

You are such an encouragement Carol. A true blessing to this

serve! I am so happy that you are helping our family too! My

husband helps cook too, thanks to " medical necessity " . This is how

we look at SCDiet in this house.

I dont trust SCD convenience foods. Either did Elaine! It is not

worth the screw up or trusting others with your health, or the HIGH

COST. For Kiki, we end up suffering horrible consequences for every

little screw up that breaks the guidelines in BTVC book, makes us

regret it! We have learned to trust Elaine and her book and what

she wrote and said to others afterwards. When she said " fanatical

adherance " end of chpater 9, we nowbelieve her!

Kiki may be sicker than most on this serve, I truly do not know. It

doesn't take much to end up in the hospital or with autistic

behavior.

If it is not home made and legal...she doesn't eat it. I have the

same standards for all five of us. But for her, to keep her out of

the hospital and having deleriums at night, it is a must!

God Bless all of us who spend time in the kitchen! It is worth it,

the rewards have been grand so far...the frustration and pain....

nothing compared to what once was four months ago. Healing takes

time though.

Antoinette and family of five SCD 2/06 (celiac, malabsorption, leaky

gut, add, adhd, autism, chemical sensitivity and hyperekplexia)
