Guest guest
Chrissy and Deanna, The way the buddy pass works is that the cost of the ticket is only 10% of the what the highest premium fare charged for that flight would be. At least that's the way it works for US Airways, and I believe it's the same industry-wide. So if the premium fee for the flight was $400, for example, the buddy pass would only cost $40. The dress code isn't too bad, just no t-shirts, jeans, halter tops, flip flops, bedroom slippers, short shorts, etc.....just appropriate, respectable clothing. Doesn't seem like too much to ask, but then again, judging by what I have seen some people flying in....that, and worse, maybe it is! I was taught by my parents to dress appropriately for airline travel, sort of like going to see a professional (attorney, doctor, or clergy), and it's been a habit that I never broke. People's dress standards have changed drastically over the years, though, and now you see them dressed, or undressed, in some really slovenly clothing! And the other factor is that you are flying standby. I'm a pro at this, because this is the only way we can fly free as employees or spouses. If you decide to go this route, I can tell you all the angles to try to get on the first time and not get bumped. Just let me know. I'd offer you one of our buddie passes, Chrissy, but we've already commited them all to our out of town family for the wedding this fall. I still think you should call Angel Flight. It could be the best deal for you, you wouldn't have to worry about cost, flying standby or any of the other problems that can come up with commercial airline travel. It would be like having your own private pilot and airplane. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina SC & SE Regional Rep. PAI, Intl.
