Dinah... I did not tell my in-laws until after the fact. I was not even

sure I was going to tell them then, but I had my kids with me,(better known

as the informers), and I knew they would let it slip. I didn't want them

lying to their grandparents, anyway, but my father-in-law had a stroke in

June, and my mother-in-law has high blood pressure and is a big worry wart,

so I didn't want to worry them. I called and told them about it the morning

after I got home, and they took it very well. So, maybe I was more worried

about worrying them than I needed to be. Or maybe I just wimped out...lol.

Good luck!!

Marsha, I'm not a post op, but I'm having surgery next Wednesday and

I was told to stop by Dr.R's office on Ben lin Blvd and pick up

my chart and then go to the clinic. They will give you a map with

your chart.

Which clinic are you going to attend? I'm going to the 9am on Aug 15.

When is your surgery scheduled?

Dinah,

I have a surgery date of Aug. 30. My stats: female, 45 yrs, married,

no kids (unless you count my two Germ.Sheps), Weight: 325, Ht: 5'2 " ,

BMI: 59. I will be attending the 9:00am clinic on Tuesday,Aug. 29

and having surgery on Wed., Aug. 30th. I'm excited but also a bit

nervous about sipping the water, possible leaks, etc. the usual I

guess. But I'm " good to go " nontheless. I hope everything goes great

for you as well. Keep me posted as to how you are doing and whether

or not you felt there were any " surprises? "

Chat with you later!

Marsha

I think I am all ready to go, except taking the dog to my mom's,

packing my clothes, moving all my plants to the deck so neighbor can

water them easily, and the worst of all, going to tell my Mother in

law what I am doing. Boy is that gonna open a can of worms.

" Regional Surgical Associates " is the name of the group of doctors that

Dr. Rutledge is in with. You go to Dr. Rutledge's office at 4301 Ben

lin Ave. (which is the office of Regional Surgical Associates) to

pick up your file before you go to the clinic. Look for a black sign on

the left side of Ben lin that says " Regional Surgical Associates "

with a bunch of names under it. Turn left into the driveway just before

that sign as soon as you see the sign. That building is Dr. Rutledge's

office.

Kind regards,

My MIL is the type that want to all me all the time and tell me about

a new diet, that Bud and I need to try. She always has an opinion

about things, that are so outlandish. She is really a nice person, or

at least she is to me, but she seems to be fixiated on my weight! She

is a bit of a show off and I guess I'm not " normal " enough to show

off. I don't know what it is, but I'm not looking forward to

discussing this surgery with her before or after the fact.
