Guest guest
Hey Guys! Beth from Orlando a Post OP!!! Yeeehaa...I had my MGB on Thursday at Durham regional. I was scheduled for but showed up to clinic weighing 355 with sleep apnea. Doc felt safer doing it at the hospital. Which I had no problem with until about 9 hours after surgery. When from a room next to mine I hear the staff hooping and hollering, laughing and carrying on. Well, this did not bother me except that, I had read all the post ops saying how the staff will ask you to get up as soon as possible, go the bathroom and walk. Well, no one had asked me to do either, so about 10pm (MGB 1pm)I buzzed the desk to let them know I needed unhooked from the various plugs to go potty and walk around. Immediately a voice over the paging system: " Room 03 needs assistance. Assistance to O3 " . When all the sudden I hear an annoyed voice exclaim: " Don't 03 know we are watching WRESTLING?! " She came in 15 minutes later. During a commercial. So my sage advice to all pre ops...when choosing a date....beware of Thursday Night Smack Down at Durham Regional! I had one other problem with my TEDS...they were way to tight. I am going to close for now but am looking forward to posting later about all the incredible people I have met here in Durham! I have made lifelong friends here and it makes this sooooo much easier to deal with. Reach out to your littermates who are not on this list. They have no clue what they are missing! Love and Laughs, Sips and Giggles Beth Post Op!!!! in Durham
Guest guest
Oh Beth, I'm so glad to hear from you. I'm glad you are doing great. Were you alone at the hospital? My husband would have busted up that wrestling party! I'm sorry that happened to you. You should report it to Dr. R. If he is like the doctor I work for, he would really take it personally that one of his patients were neglected while under his care at the hospital. Hurry up and post again before I get on the road> I leave in the morning. Dinah > Hey Guys! Beth from Orlando a Post OP!!! Yeeehaa...I had my MGB on > Thursday at Durham regional. Guest guest
Beth, I am so sorry to hear about your stay at Durham regional. But I am glad to see you post. I wasn't sure what your email address was and wanted to keep in touch with you and your weight loss. When I read your post, i.e. sleep apnea and being originally scheduled for , I knew you were " The Party Girl " Beth!!!! Good luck from here on out, and I'll be watching for you.
