Guest guest
Hi everyone, We are now on day 9, and although we are feeling a bit yuck, my 2 kids (5yr boy with ASD, and 3yr NT girl) have not had any diarrhea for 4 days. Seems like a miracle to me. I could count the number of times what comes out of my daughter looks normal on one hand. Ewan was going really well on GF/CF,corn, banana and egg free for a year or so, but has had horrible diarrhea since february. Anyway my question is about other family members doing the diet and getting enough fibre. Myself and my husband have been doing the diet with the kids. I have always had digestive issues, and have been GF/CF for 2 1/2 years. Doing this is the only thing that has helped a pain syndrome I have in my hands, so I am hoping for more relief with SCD. My husband is fairly healthy - although with all the diet gains we have made he seems determined to get some benefit from SCD too. Anyway he is now very constipated and is walking round looking very sad and uncomfortable. I suggested to him to eat some food with more fibre, but wanted to ask you all what is best to do. Should he jump forward a few stages and be eating raw fruit and veges? Any help appreciated. A sick husband can be harder to deal with than sick kids!
